Brutalist Relief Desk Lamp
A European desk lamp from the 1970s, pairing a richly textured cast-metal base with the clean geometry of an articulated arm and angular shade. The deeply worked relief recalls an eroded landscape, its raised edges catching the light against darker recesses. A warm, mottled patina runs across the metal, bringing depth to the otherwise restrained form.
The double swing arm allows the shade to extend over a work surface or fold back towards the stem, changing the lamp’s silhouette with each position. Sculptural yet practical, it brings both focused light and a distinctive material presence to a desk, reading corner or side table.
Fitted with an inline switch, European plug and E27 socket. Tested and working at the time of cataloguing.
